Learn from the COMPOSE case studies
18 demonstration actions were implemented during the INTERREG MED COMPOSE project, fostering a low carbon economy, in 11 Mediterranean countries (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain). The 18 sustainable energy projects have applied the step-by-step, bottom-up, COMPOSE methodological approach, aiming to promote the use of RES and energy efficiency measures, by exploiting the local potential, developing sustainable supply chains and enhancing local growth and economy. More than 336 GWh/y electricity generated from RES and 558 kt CO2/y greenhouse gas emissions saved will be accomplished in the COMPOSE countries, till 2030, due to the development, operation and multiplier effect of those projects.
